- Yuri came in at number 52 on Forbes’ 2018 Midas List of the best dealmakers in hi-tech and life sciences venture capital.
- In 2017 Forbes celebrated its centenary by publishing 100 Greatest Living Business Minds – “an A-to-Z encyclopedia of ideas from 100 entrepreneurs, visionaries and prophets of capitalism.” In his contribution, Yuri described the long-term perspective – “looking beyond the horizon” – that drew him to America and inspired his science and technology investments.
- In March 2017 Yuri appeared in Fortune’s collection of The World’s 50 Greatest Leaders.
- In April 2017 Yuri came in at number 15 in Forbes’ Midas List of “the 100 best venture capitalists in the world,” citing his tech investments and Breakthrough Listen initiative.
- In August 2016 Wired placed Yuri at number 20 in its Wired 100 list of “key influencers... who are shaping our culture, the tech economy, consumer behaviour, scientific discovery – in short, the people making things happen,” noting his investment history and the Breakthrough Starshot interstellar mission he launched earlier that year.
- In August 2016 Forbes included Yuri at number 72 in The 100 Richest Tech Billionaires In The World In 2016.
- Stephen Hawking wrote Yuri’s entry in the 2016 edition of TIME’s iconic TIME 100 list of the world’s most influential people. The cosmologist called him a “visionary” whose “investments take the long view,” based on a deep respect for the Universe and humanity.
- Yuri appeared at number 17 in the 2016 Forbes Midas List.
- In April 2016 Yuri appeared in the “The Midas China List” of prominent investors in Chinese hi-tech companies.
